Official Handing Over Ceremony of the Cardiff Preparatory School

Speaking on behalf of the Community, Honorable Chernor R.M. Bah said “We were not happy about the demolition but today, we thank God for this fantastic Edifies”. He extends his appreciation to the Church and hope this ceremony will not be the end of a long lasting partnership between the Church and the school
Handing Over ceremony held at the  newly re-constructed Cardiff Preparatory School.

The one hour long ceremony which started at 11:30am was attended by the Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment; Deputy Minister of  Lands, Country Planning and the Environment; Minister of Education, Science and Technology;  Honorable member of  Parliament ; Staff, Pupils and Parents of Cardiff Preparatory School;  Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and the media.

 Statements were delivered by the Minister of Lands, Country planning and the Environment; Deputy Minister of Education Science and Technology; the Honorable Member of Parliament for constituency 110 and the Freetown District President.

Giving the Keynote address, Rtd. Captain Allieu Momodu Pat-sowe, Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment reiterated H.E. the President’s  commitment to Education and said because of this commitment, the President had  insisted that the school be re-constructed by the church after it was demolished in July, 2011. The Minister maintained that the new building was better than what was demolished.  According to the Minister “What you have done as a church will broaden your base not only in Sierra Leone but in the world over”.
