To help curtail the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sierra Leone, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and other items to the Government of Sierra Leone on Thursday, 7th May 2020.

Church Announces Plans to Construct a Temple in United Arab Emirates

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, President Russell M. Nelson announced that the Church will construct a temple in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). “The plan for a temple in Dubai comes in response to their gracious invitation, which we gratefully acknowledge,” said President Russell M. Nelson in his historic announcement.

Prophet Announces Eight New Temples at General Conference

From Newsroom (Salt Lake City) President Nelson announced plans to build eight new temples throughout the world. One of these temples will be built in Dubai, which will serve thousands of Latter-day Saints living in two stakes in the Gulf States and a number of member districts in the Middle East, northern Africa, eastern Europe, and western Asia.
